Faf du Plessis reaches South Africa after the exciting tour of Pakistan

World XI Captain 

Du Plessis was the skipper of the touring World XI side and had a great time in Pakistan.

Faf du Plessis, the skipper of the World XI side in the recently concluded Independence Cup, has reached home safely after the series. Du Plessis revealed the news on social media.

World XI lost the hard-fought series against Pakistan 2-1 earlier this week. But most importantly it was the cricket which won as the sport finally returned to the country after 8 long years.

The World XI side comprised of some star players

like Hashim Amla David Miller  Darren Sammy Morne Morkel  Imran Tahir  Thisara Perera among others.

The tournament was played in full spirit and the spectators were seen cheering for the opposition as well. More importantly, it was organised very smoothly by Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) and proved that it is a safe country to play cricket now.

 

 

Faf  thanks Pakistan crowd

The South African skipper led the World XI side very well but unfortunately could not score enough runs for his side. But he praised the people of Pakistan for supporting them throughout the tournament. He posted a message for his followers to let them that he has reached his home. His message read Arrived safely back home.Thank you Pakistan and Lahore for your hospitality.

He also posted the pictures of Pakistani spectators along with the message.
